Cue34 were commissioned to create a promenade performance for Chesham Heritage Day. This was to support Chesham Museum’s exhibition ‘Rivers and Railways’ exploring the impact of the Metropolitan line train coming to Chesham. Cue34 spoke to local historian, Eleanor Philips, who gave them insight about the Webb Family. The Webb Family were a local brush making family. From this Cue34 created the characters of 'Edith Webb' and her mother 'Mary Ann Webb'. The two characters had very different views on impact on the railway coming to Chesham. Catherine Simons and Elizabeth Went both performed in this piece, promenading along Chesham High Street engaging locals in a heated debate about the positives and negatives of the arrival of the railway in 1890.
