Cue34 Theatre Company is a new Buckinghamshire-based not-for-profit theatre company which specialises in producing work to enhance the cultural life of Buckinghamshire for its residents.

Cue34 aims to produce thought provoking new work inspired by contemporary issues and breathe new life into the old.

We seek to create high quality theatrical experiences that empower and entertain the local community.

Cue34 have worked with a range of local organisations creating bespoke and unique theatrical experiences.

Working Methods 

Research 

Every performance must start out with a grounding and understanding of the subject matter. For the Rivers to Railways performance Cue34 took to the local library and asked local historians about when the railway first came to Chesham. This information then inspired character development, plot and motivation. Research ensures each commission created is unique and authentic.

Play

In rehearsals there must be a sense of openness, willingness to explore and play. This is facilitated by the Director to ensure all of the creative team are comfortable to explore and voice their opinions on the topic. The Director always has the final say but the process of collaboration and commitment to the project is very important to Cue34.

Music 

Music is an important ingredient to creating theatrical experiences. This is not an add-on or a second thought. Cue34 have been lucky to work with some very talented musicians who have composed various pieces to support the narrative, atmosphere and creation of the theatre shows.

Local creatives 

Cue34 is based in Buckinghamshire which is teeming with talented creatives. Cue34 endeavors to work with local artists who live or work in Buckinghamshire. Cue34 want to enhance the local creative landscape offering employment and theatrical opportunities to those who rarely have access to it.
